I think this is a neat idea and a great way to connect people. It's interesting to see how many people have the same to-do's in their lists!

1. Laundry.
2. Finish baby book for my little one.
3. Get a game plan for the kids' summer activities.
4. Cook dinner.
5. Bible study.
6. Take a load to Goodwill.
7. Download pictures from camera.
8. Get someone to change shifts with me for Saturday.
9. Carve out a schedule to study for and take CMT exam.
10. Schedule dentist and OB/GYN appointments.

Menu Plan Monday

Hi Everyone! My kids were on spring break last week and out of school, so we are looking forward to getting back to the normal routine this week! Here's what's planned:

Monday - Cheesy Chicken Broccoli Bake (Hope this is as good as Cracker Barrel's version!)

Tuesday - Pepper Steak and Rice

Wednesday - Chicken Tacos, Corn Cobs

Thursday - Cubed Steak, Mashed Potatoes, Lima Beans

Friday - Cabbage Rolls

Saturday - Eat out!

Sunday - Roast Chicken, Potato Casserole, Green Beans


For this week, I decided to make a big salad at the start of the week and serve it each night until it runs out. I hope it will stay fresh, and I hope this will help us up our veggie intake this week! I am also going to make zucchini bread one day. Yum!

This past weekend, I made Apple-Jack Chicken Pizza Saturday evening. Let me tell you, it was deelish!!! If you are looking for a fun new recipe, try this one out!

One of these days, I would love to enter a contest like the Pillsbury Bake-Off or something along those lines. I love to watch the cook-off specials on the Food Network. Has anyone out there been in a cook-off? Won a big prize? How about a little one? Leave a comment and tell the story!!!

Have you ever been to a grocery auction? I have not. We do have a local "salvage" grocery store where I shop to find deals from time to time. This quote from the article really is the key to grocery auctions:

Menu Plan Monday

I love Menu Plan Monday! It helps me plan out my week according to our evening activities and how much time I will have for cooking, and also according to what we have on hand, so I'm not going out and buying the same stuff we already have in our pantry. Here's this week's plan:

Monday - Salmon Patties, Mac and Cheese, Green Beans

Tuesday - Pork Chops, Sweet Potatoes, Broccoli Cornbread

Wednesday - Sticky Chicken, Yellow Rice, Peas

Thursday - Meatloaf, Mashed Potatoes, Lima Beans

Friday - Chicken and Rice Casserole (has green beans in it)

Saturday - Not sure yet

Sunday - Going to the In-Laws

I am trying really hard to get more vegetables in our diet. Other than opening frozen or canned products (and that gets boring), I really run out of ideas. Leave a comment for me on how you incorporate veggies into your family dinners!
